Hotchkis Is Bringing The Famous Bullit Car Chase To Life At SEMA

Hotchkis Is Bringing The Famous Bullit Car Chase To Life At SEMA

There’s a couple of sides to the SEMA show. The first and most important side is the business side where companies are showing off their new parts, updating older stuff, and making business deals with distributors and customers. There’s the car show side which is most visible because the entire Las Vegas Convention Center is jam packed full of the coolest cars in the world. Then there is the party side because let’s face it, the deal is located in Las Vegas. It is impossible NOT to have a good time in Las Vegas. The companies that figure a way to make all three of these diverging sides come together at once in their SEMA booth are the ones that make the biggest splash. The fine folks at Hotchkis Sport Suspension are going to make a cannonball sized splash this year at their booth where they’ll have a highland green fastback Mustang and a menacing black 1968 Charger in their display to show off their new Stage One TVS bolt on system along with their Hotchkis tuned shocks for first generation Mustangs and a 1969 Charger R/T equipped with their Hotchkis Mopar B-Body Total Vehicle System and Hotchkis-Tuned shocks.

The cool twist on the Charger is that it is owned by Hollywood actor Patrick Warburton. You know him from Seinfeld as Puddy, the show Rules of Engagement, The Tick, multiple movies, tons of voice over work, and he’s even been on the American version of Top Gear. It was actually during his Top Gear appearance that he revealed that he named the Charger “Angelina Jolie”. Apparently his wife is not into it, but we dig the fact that he like the car enough to have given it a name. He seems like a legit car guy and frankly, having the taste to choose a cherry black 1969 Charger R/T as your muscle car whip backs that up.

We’ve showed you some preliminary photos and information about the Hotchkis Stage 1 TVS system for first generation Mustangs and Chad has actually gotten a first hand feel for the system at a track day on the famed course at Willow Springs. They converted a Mustang in the span of an afternoon and Chad reported that the changes in ride and handling were significant. It is pretty amazing what companies like Hotchkis are doing these days with bolt on parts that do not require the buyer to cut his or her car all to pieces to achieve a more fun, competent, and confident driving experience.

We’re looking forward to checking out the booth and the cars in it. Hey, if we run into Patrick we’ll get a photo and plaster him with BS stickers!

This photo-shopped photo where John Hotchkis’s head was inserted into the Steve McQueen Bullit Movie Poster is hilarious!
