So just to be clear, this is NOT a Holley 4-barrel or something. This is a little single barrel carburetor like you would see on a small engine on your minibike or lawn mower. But the way it works is what matters and so you’ll see what is going on in a carburetor’s venturi and the intake runner because this thing is transparent. The video is giving detailed and basic information on carburetors, mixtures, etc, so some of this might not be the kind of information you hard core guys are looking for, but it sure can help you explain it to something that doesn’t know. And, you can actually see the fuel and air as this thing runs for real on the engine!
This is some cool stuff here, because you can REALLY see the air, the fuel, the mixture happening, the atomization, all of it. This is cool stuff for sure and I would absolutely love to see this in person as well. You guys should be watching this one. What’s cool too is that the guy who built the carburetor doesn’t know anything about them from a practical perspective, but rather from the design perspective only. He asks all kinds of questions of his dad who is working with him on it and I love it. This thing is cool.
Watch.
