HOW TO: 4.0L BARRA-DISASSEMBLY AND HEAD FLOW TEST Richard Holdeners First Barra Build!

Richard has been doing all kinds of testing with the Atlas 4.2 GM engine that he’s dubbed the Ameri-Barra, as it’s the American GM equivalent so to speak, but the Australian Barra from Ford is normally not available here in the United States so he hasn’t been able to compare them in person. But that’s all changed, because he got a Barra engine sent to him from Australia! In this video he’s testing the factory components to see what is going on, what the power potential is, and more! Watch this installment of the Barra engine build and you’ll dig it.

Here is the description from Richard’s video:

HOW MUCH DOES THE AUSSIE 4.0L BA BARRA HEAD FLOW? CHECK OUT THIS OTHER GUYS VIDEO WHERE I RECEIVED AN AUSSIE BARRA MOTOR (ACTUALLY 3) FROM DOMINATOR MOTORSPORTS AUSTRALIA AND IMMEDIATELY RIPPED INTO IT TO REMOVE THE HEAD. THIS VIDEO SHOWS HOW TO REMOVE THE HEAD, CAMS AND FRONT COVER. WE THEN INSTALLED THE HEAD ON THE FLOW BENCH TO SEE JUST HOW GOOD THE HEADS ON THESE AUSSIE (BA) BARRA MOTORS REALLY ARE. I EVEN HAD TO COME UP WITH A CLEVER WAY TO OPEN THE VALVES TO THE DESIRED LIFT RANGES FOR TESTING. I INCLUDED THE STOCK SPRING INSTALLED HEIGHT AND SPRING PRESSURES. GOOD STUFF SO CHECK IT OUT.
