Stroker LS Engines are nothing new, but there are lots of options when it comes to building an LS for your hot rod, race car, or truck. The number of people that ask me what LS to build for their project, are almost always surprised when I tell them that they should be stroking a 5.3. After all, 383 cubic inches is a really easy combo to build with an overbore to 3.905 inches and a 4 inch stroker crank all of which are readily available and affordable parts. I’ve been with Richard when we’ve dyno tested several of these and with good heads and the right camshaft they make anywhere from 525 to well over 600 horsepower naturally aspirated. The combo talked about in the video is just over 600 horsepower. Adding boost to any of these combos makes and EASY 1000 horsepower or significantly more, depending on what you want. There really is no reason not to build a stroker 5.3 to let your hot rod rip.
Here’s the info from Richard.
So just throw away everything but the stock block, and buy all of our advertiser’s parts. Got it, thanks.
That’s basically what hotrodding is
I just love the video\’s from mr. Richard
Is there a big difference between the blocks from 4.8 to 6.0? Why the 5.3?
