Peter and Debbie Gray have just leapt onto our list of the “100 coolest people in Australia” for this awesome dueling power skid performance they laid down at the recent Autofest Melbourne Performance Showdown.The cars used are a classic Camaro and a Monaro and while their body styles may vary by generations the powerplants don’t. Big superchargers sit atop what we have to believe are Chevy engines of unknown displacement. We’ve actually not seen two cars on a burnout pad at the same time and there’s good reason as the amount of smoke pouring off one car is enough to fog bank the whole thing, but two cars…well you’ll see.

At one point in the video it does seem that the cars contact each other at very low speed, but watch the Monaro because it comes to an abrupt stop as the two cars are kind of rotating around one another. Maybe we’re seeing things but at the end of the video it does seem that the nose of the Monaro has been “modified” slightly. Both cars spin the tires until they explode and the two blown engines singing away are music to our ears!
