Dyno Music: Watch A 378ci Naturally Aspirated Cleveland Ford Crank Out 780+ HP At 8,000+ RPM

Our recent dyno videos have been Chevy-centric. That’s not because we were digging for Chevy videos, but more because those clips had jumped off the page at us. Today we’re going to the blue oval side of the fence and highlighting a totally bad ass 378ci Cleveland engine that makes more than 780hp at over 8,000 RPM. That’s naturally aspirated in case you were wondering.

Sure, the 351ci Windsor engine was the bread and butter of the Ford stable for a long, long time, there’s some real magic in the vaunted Cleveland name and more importantly the cylinder heads those specific engines wore. This engine is not a “true” Cleveland as it wears a set of NASCAR cylinder heads, sports a compression ratio of 13.2:1, uses a monster Crane Cams solid roller with lift approaching .800, and is built off of a forged steel crank. The block is a 1972 4-bolt main Cleveland piece, so there’s your connection to its original roots.

A Cleveland block and NASCAR heads? Yeah, that’s Ford porn to the highest level!
