Dyno Video: Watch an LS Powered S10 Truck Scream With Open Pipes on a Mustang Dyno

Dyno Video: Watch an LS Powered S10 Truck Scream With Open Pipes on a Mustang Dyno

Outside the main convention center building here in Orlando there are several dynos set up. Virtually every dyno company we’ve ever heard of his a display at the show, but a few of them took the extra step of setting their stuff up outside and actually having demonstrations pulls made. I happened on a neat little S10 truck that was spinning the rollers on a Mustang chassis dyno which is mounted on a very heavy duty trailer.

The truck is equipped with electric exhaust cut outs, so between pulls the driver flipped the switch and things go quiet. When it was time for the truck to go to work, he opened the pipes and let it wail! We did not get exact numbers on this truck but heard that it was making a little more than 400hp at the wheels.

These aren’t Earth shattering videos, but when we get to give you footage of an uncorked V8 singing at full song, well we’re going to do it!

Crank your speakers and press play!

Hello, thanks for posting those videos! I thought you might like a little info on the truck. The Truck belongs to Current Performance Wiring (www.currentperformance.com) and they specialize in both the wiring harnesses and engine swaps into the S10 and similar trucks. That Truck is a Cammed LS1 (from a 2004 GTO) with headers and intake. The tune was done at The Tuning School (www.thetuningschool.com). It sounds great at Full Throttle!
