FUN VIDEO: A VINTAGE FIAT 500 PACKING TURBO HONDA POWER!

If this little meanie doesn’t crack you up, your sense of humor is out of whack! The wee machine shown in the video is a vintage Fiat 500 that has had the anemic 500cc two cylinder engine replaced with a front mounted Honda S2000 four banger with a turbo! The result is the fastest mini-car we have ever seen!

The Fiat has a tube chassis, crazily narrowed rear end, adjustable four link suspension and enough room inside for two people and a can of Coke turned sideways. We have three videos of the car below. The first is a 10 second blast down the strip at Toronto Motorsports Park and the second was filmed at the same strip when the car was brand new, had not turbo and ran in the 12s while getting sorted out. The third clip is the car going into a near vertical wheelstand on launch. It is crazy how hard this thing hooks with how light and short it is!

Press play below to see the only Fiat we’d ever want to own!

This is whats wrong with NHRA drag racing. Guys used to build stuff like this, but now it’s all the same. The only classes with much variety are Super Gas and Super Comp, but they are like watching paint dry. The lower Stock classes are still okay.

I’m waiting for someone at Chrysler to make the Fiat / Gasser connection, and offer a Drag Pack Fiat 500 with a new Hemi.

But this S2000 powered one is pretty impressive. Sort of like a new wave version of the gasser swaps.
