Take A Look Behind The Scenes On A Drag Challenge Build: A 427ci Twin-Turbo Mill Meant For A Holden Clubsport!

Drag Challenge, Australia’s Drag Week clone, has taken off like wildfire, with massive amounts of success. What else would you expect in the land of burnout contests and long-distance skidding? Well, you can start expecting the same kind of one-upmanship contests like we have seen here in the States when it comes to power, that’s for sure. Case in point: MPW Performance and Powerhouse Engines (excellent name!), out of Victoria, has a test car, a Holden Commodore VT Clubsport…the first series of the Commodore that the Pontiac GTO was based off of. Called “NOSHOW”, the Clubsport was reworked to kick some ass at the races, with most of the work under hood in the form of a twin-turbo 427ci mill. How well did it do? Well, the dyno video will tell you all about the power of the engine, but stuffed in the Holden, it was good for [email protected]. That’s moving!
