We’re not running this video as a goof on a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution as we think those cars are pretty tough little customers. The 2.0L four cylinder engines in them can make huge power with tuning, larger turbochargers, and all of the other hot rod tricks that we all know and love. This video is funny because the car is making a dyno pull and right at the top of the pull when the thing is working the hardest it spits a hose, pops the intercooler, or lunches a gasket and instantly empties a massive quantity of water out of itself at high pressure and directly into the video camera capturing the action in the dyno cell.

Pay attention to the guy standing on the other side of the room. He begins to react almost immediately upon the first hint of mist exiting the engine bay. We can’t see where he ends up because the torrent of water flowing at the camera literally washes the picture out. Videos like this are why we cringe every time that we’re in the middle of a dyno pull in Buford T Justice and there have been lots of ’em! You just never know what is going to happen next!
