Basically Brutal: Watch This Paxton Supercharged, Holley EFI Equipped, Stock Bottom End 302 Mustang Make Power On The Dyno

This right here is BangShifty as hell. It has been a long time since we saw someone doing some stuff stuff with a stock bottom end 302ci Ford in a Fox Mustang and when we stumbled upon this video we were smiling the whole time we watched it. So what’s the combo? Here’s what the caption on the video says:

Stock bottom end 302

Pro max aluminum heads

E85

Meth injection

Th400

Paxton Novi 2000 supercharger

17psi of Boost

The neat thing here is that the guys have to monkey around with the car to get stuff like the belt routing right and some other small fixes. Those small fixes take this thing and really wake it up. It makes 500hp to the tire and when you take into consideration heat soak and drivetrain loss, this thing is really making some steam. We love that it is not a bank breaking combo, we love that it is not an LS, and we love the fact that it sounds like so many blown Fox Mustangs we have heard over the years at the strip. The fact that the car looks like hell also makes us smile.

It may be ugly (which we love) but it sure has some teeth and those teeth are of the good ol’ blue oval kind. As hot rodding continues to evolve in technology and in some ways complexity, these moments of seeing some legit KISS projects making great power need to be celebrated. Long live the little 302!

We all know stock Ford 302 blocks don’t hold up (crack down the lifter valley) past about 450HP. Nice build but this thing appears to be a time bomb.

Check out Project Stock Bottom End on YouTube. Guy has been making over 900 and running low 9’s with an untouched bottom end from ’91 for years. With a stick no less. Its all about the tune and RPM.
