The Power Nation guys built this cool Caprice wagon and if you didn’t see all the episodes and instead want to see it all go together in just one go, here’s your chance. This thing is cool as hell and although not the most desirable wagon ever produced, it has the right vibes once they are done with it and would make the ultimate Power Tour cruiser for you and your family or friends. Hell, this thing will haul 8 people! It’s like a Suburban, only lower, and about the same length!
So check out the project in the video below and you’ll see what a very simple engine and trans upgrade, some suspension, wheels and tires, etc. can do to change the look, the performance, and the image of this thing.
We know this isn’t a “cheap” project with the new engine and trans, but you could totally do this project in stages and really stay with a budget too.
Video Description:
Our Caprice Wagon project is all about transforming an old 1984 Chevrolet Caprice into a reliable, powerful cruiser. The goal is to upgrade its drivetrain and overall performance while preserving its classic charm. We started by pulling out the tired 305 engine and replaced it with a brand new 350 cubic inch small block, boosting us up to 430 horsepower. For smooth and durable cruising, we paired it with a 700-R-4 automatic transmission. We also tackled the fuel system, swapping out the old carburetor setup for a modern fuel injection system to improve efficiency and power. Along the way, we upgraded the suspension, brakes, and steering to handle this big family wagon’s newfound power. Our aim is to enjoy a smooth, head-turning family road trip machine that’s as fun to drive as it is to look at.
