When I was on Team Bigun, for the $10,000 Drag Shootout #2, our car was burned in a fire on a transport truck and the damage was kind of crazy. You would have been blown away if you saw the amount of things that melt in a car fire like that. Besides the obvious plastic parts, there are also a bunch of pot metal and aluminum parts that melted. And then there were parts you didn’t expect to slump into less identifiable parts. I think there are going to be some examples of that in this video from Brent and Esther at Halfass Kustoms. Their shop recently caught fire and burnt to the ground. Their 1935 Dodge Coupe project was in the shop and burned bad. The LS engine that was in it will never be the same. But can it be saved?
Let’s see what kind of shape is it in and then we’ll figure out if it can be saved.
Video Description:
Go BTS (behind the scenes) and see what’s happening in the shop! In this video we tear apart the LS that was in my burnt coupe and assess to see if it’s worth keeping.
