SEMA 2013 Video: FAST’s New XFI Sportsman EFI System Bridges The Gap Between Plug ‘n Play Systems and Hardcore Race Systems

Not all hot rodders live on one end of the spectrum or another. There are the cruiser street guys and there are the full-tilt, hard-core, bad to the bone racers guys but there is a vast middle ground of people who have their own needs. FAST had previously offered a couple of EFI options for those interested and they hit the two groups that the previously mentioned. There’s the EZ-EFI system for the guy who wants to add electronic fuel injection to his cruiser and wants the EFI system to do the learning and self tuning. On the other end is the XFI system that is about virtually infinite tuning and adjustability. The reality is that the XFI system may be more than the average racer or hard core, high horsepower street machine guys needs. Enter the XFI Sportsman system. This baby is setup to meet the needs of the average racer who may want to have some functionality like the ability to handle boost, the ability to handle a single stage of nitrous, the ability to data log, tweak fuel maps, and control either a throttle body system or a port style system. With the XFI Sportsman setup, a racer can get themselves off the ground with EFI and then tune and learn as they go. Again, this system takes the step above EZ-EFI but doesn’t leap all the way to the full blown XFI system favored by racers running complex nitrous, boosted, or otherwise ragged edge engines.

We dig this system and Chad sure did as well. After we were done filming this video we nearly had to call security to get him away from the parts!
