Watch Freiburger and Finnegan Take a Conversion Van and Buick LeSabre Wagon and Thrash Them to Pieces

Watch Freiburger and Finnegan Take a Conversion Van and Buick LeSabre Wagon and Thrash Them to Pieces

Freiburger and Finnegan are back in their latest installment of Roadkill and this seems to be the most destructive one yet. According to the duo, the Dodge van and Buick LeSabre in this episode were sourced for use as parts cars for magazine  projects. The Buick was to donate its frame to a body drop build the guys are going to do and the van was to puke its tired 360 up for a Mopar small block build in the future. The two sad sack vehicles were sitting there, the guys needed to make a new episode of the show and some gearhead math came into play. The short equation looked something like this lack of time and budget/two cars destined to be yanked apart anyway = let’s thrash the hell out of these things for entertainment purposes.

We’re a little sore at that pristine B-Body GM product getting killed as Buford is a blood relative of that thing. They never said if the frame was damaged during the filming, but after watching this video it seems impossible that it wasn’t at least tweaked. Since the van and the wagon won’t pass California smog testing (although they could with repairs we guess) DF and Mike deemed them as death row inmates. We’ll just say that the electric chair would have been a lullaby compared to what they got.

Press play to see wanton fun and destruction.

Top Gear US needs to fire the current presenters and hire Freiburger and Finnegan ,even the video qaulity seems better!

I dunno, I think I still would rather have an Adventador on the street than two beaters in the desert.

Sorry, but this “Roadkill” is just dead-on-arrival stupid (and derivative).

If they want to just tear stuff up for no good reason, why not waste some of Cali’s ubiquitous Japanese cars or useless FWDs?

I remember when Hot Rodding used to be about making stuff better, not just getting wasted on imported beer and acting like latter-day, motorized Visigoths.

The automotive world’s grim reapers strike again. If they are cutting car’s apart to make them go faster, they beating them to pieces in the desert. I would have found it more interesting if they made that Buick or van into a stealthy sleeper.

        This stuff is getting stale.

This is HILARIOUS, I loved every minute of it. Too bad you needed the parts because a bit more fender banging would have been good.

What an epic tragedy for Hot Rod Magazine. There’s nothing of interest going on here. How far they have fallen. Is that really what we do to cars now days? Give me Street Rodder Magazine any day?
