I used to ride on the running board of a DOT Dump Truck - in the midde 1990's! Good thing the state safety trained us (NOT!)

            good news bad news

good news, nothing leaks, timing is off but spark seems to work...
bad news, at least one injector is stuck open

so I'll try the injector cleaner and cycling 12v across the injector to see if I can get it to unstick.... if not, new injectors

Is that rubber line you put inside the tank rated for immersion (SAE 30R10 spec) ? Regular rubber fuel line can turn to goo when the outside of the hose is immersed in fuel all the time.

The line that is immersible is not cheap. I think I paid $30 for a 1 foot section at NAPA when I need a piece for the Grand Irrational.

yes it is. It came from Holley with the suction do-hickee that's on the end of the pickup along with instructions that the hose is to be submerged in the tank and the other hose aimed at it. Granted, my issue now is with a Holley TBI so judgment is being reserved pending the outcome of that issue.

just wondering... is that the same dog that is going to chew up the wires without the grommet?

I wouldn't say I "know" hello kitty... I "Know Of" hello kitty - through GAIL.

Gromit the beagle? Nope... haven't kept up with the cheeky brits since Monty Python or perhaps Faulty Towers.. I count on you to tell me when they do something.

no but I fixed the clutch so I suppose I could it's remarkable how few things are wrong... clutch is a touch heavy (went to 1" mc to get enough fluid to fully disengage the clutch), but it's not corvette heavy so I don't really care.
