This Is What Happens When You Go Looking For Parts In A Place With Whole Cars – Finnegan’s Garage

This Is What Happens When You Go Looking For Parts In A Place With Whole Cars – Finnegan’s Garage

We’ve all done it, and if you haven’t then can you really call yourself a car guy? You have a project that needs parts, whether it is trim or body panels or even speed parts, and you end up going to someone’s place who’s got what you need so you have a look around. Maybe you are building a project and someone has a take out LS engine. Or maybe someone has a wrecking yard, or collection, that is huge and full of good stuff you need. And maybe that place is owned by some dude that offers to show you around the entire joint, or worse yet tells you that you can go look around anywhere and everywhere you want all by yourself. This is the honey trap that Finnegan and Newbern visited. And since Newbern’s got a new 1957 Chevrolet project car that is in need of lots of stuff, he might as well have written sucker on his forehead.

I’ve been that guy by the way, so I’m not judging him. It’s a horrible position to be in, because any sense of responsibility goes out the window since you are already excited about the thought of getting stuff you need to make your other projects whole. This is how you end up coming home with the parts you need, and a whole other car. Don’t shake your head. Stop laughing. Don’t judge us.
