The End Of An Odyssey? Grind Hard Plumbing Co.’s Honda Gets Prettied Up!

The End Of An Odyssey? Grind Hard Plumbing Co.’s Honda Gets Prettied Up!

From the word “go” I was all in about the build of this Honda Odyssey. I lusted after one of these as a kid. I loved the power of my three-wheelers but really wanted to get my four-wheel driving techniques down pat, and since I was a couple of years away from being trusted to drive on streets at this point in time, what better way to get some practice in than with the earliest form of UTV on the market? The Odyssey and later FL400R Pilot were at least two decades ahead of their time…I didn’t see a proper UTV until 2004, when I was introduced to a Polaris Ranger 6×6 on my first tour of duty in Iraq. And it goes without saying that regardless of the commander’s directions for use, that we beat the holy hell out of that thing. I’ll admit to donuts en route to a meeting once.

The Grind Hard Plumbing Co. crew have, by their definition, finished the Odyssey build. By “finished”, it means that they completely rebuild the Polaris 800 engine with Wiseco pistons and gave the chassis the visual restoration it deserved. Painted up pretty and running better than ever, they say it’s done. Except, have you ever noticed that nothing is ever really “done” for these guys? Apparently they don’t have enough room to go play with this thing around their shop…not enough room to stretch it’s legs. So until they can get it to the dunes and really crack it open, this will have to do!
